TH informed 3 Lifebuoys now in place around river, 2 more to be put in place

Collooney Tidytowns is now a Limited Company, VMCK handed over
paperwork to VMD, we now have letter of incorporation.
Grass cutting in Collooney – V McK informed he was in contact with Cllr J
Sherlock re: strimming around the trees. VMD informed grass cutting in
Rowentree and Fairgreen Estate and Park adjacent the council has agreed to
cut this v.soon.(Last year)
Village Square – M Haran spoke to V McK and indicated that the co co not
responsible for maintenance/upkeep of the square.
CTT paid €30 for signage to be erected over lifebuoys (signage relating to
vandalism and danger of misuse of lifebuoys)

Tidytowns policy. Annual premium for the Christmas Lights Committee group
on their own would be €300.20 inclusive but because Collooney Tidytowns
have public liability insurance already it is an extended public liability cover
costing €60-80.
-Note: Christmas Lights to the policy would generate an additional premium of
€249.18 if added today. Therefore, it would make more sense to add closer to
the date as this would be more ecomomical for Collooney Tidytowns as the
additional premium would be considerably lower. €60-€80 would be charged,
will know exact figure closer to the date.

-VMD infoms that cllr John Sherlock got back about request from Collooney
Tidytowns and is working on them currently.
-VMD informs that Chartered Landscape architect design services for various
landscape projects in Sligo are funded by Irish government, CTT have asked

town. If possible to gain funding from Irish government for this, money raised
on racenight will go directly towards a local landscaper for
groundworks for landscape scheme.

-Racenight will go towards a landscaping scheme for area. This to be done as
soon as possible so Collooney Tidytowns have something to work with. Also

employ fás workers for the area.
-Organised clean up well done to everyone who participated. See photos
attached. Definitely noticable differences in the town itself in particular,
Fairgreen Community Park, The Sligo Walk, up past Cecils shop and the
streets in the town itself. 19 persons participated, 2 hours work, 24 bags
approx. Imagine if 200 people were involved for 2 hrs a month what a
difference it would make.
Felicity Kenny organised a clean up in Kiernan Avenue the same weekend as
part of their residents association there. There was a big collection there.
Welldone also.
-AIB better Ireland programme, we dont qualify this year as the group has to
be in operation for more than a year.
-Sligo Co.Co. to inform us in the next 2 weeks if we were successful in the 2
heritage grants Collooney Tidytowns applied for this year.
